Our Functional Skills English and Maths tuition is delivered through personalised 1-to-1 tutoring, tailored to each learner’s individual needs, ability level, and learning goals. This approach provides focused support to help learners build confidence, develop core skills, and work towards achieving their Functional Skills qualification.

Tutoring is suitable for learners preparing for Functional Skills English or Maths at Entry Level, Level 1, or Level 2.

Tutoring structure

– 1-to-1 Functional Skills tutoring delivered at **£35 per hour**
– **Initial 10-hour booking required**
– Includes a **complimentary 2-hour assessment**
– Personalised learning plan created following assessment
– Sessions run for **3 to 5 hours** at a time
– Homework provided after every session to support continued learning
– Learners may access **onsite study space and laptop resources free of charge**

Exam fees

Functional Skills exams are **charged separately** from tuition.

– Exam fees typically range from **£100 to £200**, depending on level
– Exam arrangements will be discussed once the learner is ready to sit the assessment

Discounted block booking option

For learners requiring extended support, a discounted package is available:

20-hour tutoring package at £25 per hour

This option offers better value for learners working towards higher-level Functional Skills qualifications or those requiring additional preparation time.

Session amendments and cancellations

Once the lesson plan and tutoring schedule have been confirmed:

– A minimum of 14 days’ notice is required for any session changes
– Late changes or cancellations may result in the **forfeiture of booked hours**

This ensures continuity of learning and fair scheduling for both learners and tutors.
